FEES AND FUNDING

Clear pricing, no surprises

Understanding the cost of occupational therapy, and what support is available to help cover it, can feel overwhelming. We have kept this information as clear as we can, so you know exactly what to expect before you book.

Our fees reflect the time, expertise and care that goes into every session, whether that is hands on therapy, preparing reports, or communicating with your child's wider team.

Financial support for Occupational therapy

Working out what financial support is available for occupational therapy is not always straightforward, and we know it can feel like one more thing to figure out on top of everything else. There are a few different paths families use to cover some or all of the cost, and your GP or paediatrician can often help point you toward the right one.

NDIS

Amazing Kids OT provides occupational therapy for children with funding allocated under Improved Daily Living. Contact the NDIS directly to find out whether your child is eligible for a plan.

Private health cover

Many private health funds offer Extras cover that includes occupational therapy. Check with your provider to see what you are eligible for, and let our Family Liaison Team know beforehand, since some funds require us to be registered with them directly.

GP Chronic Condition Management Plan

Ask your GP whether your child might be eligible for a Chronic Condition Management Plan. This is a document outlining the allied health support your child needs beyond standard GP care, and it allows for five individual occupational therapy sessions with a Medicare rebate available per visit. This rebate increases further once you reach the Medicare Safety Net.

Autism Initiative

Activated by your paediatrician, the government funded Autism Initiative, previously known as Form 135, provides Medicare rebates for up to twenty sessions for children and young people with autism. A number of allied health professionals can provide care under this initiative, including occupational therapists.
